Ohio truck accident leaves vehicle pinned under semi truck

Semi trucks are massive vehicles and accidents involving semi trucks are often serious in nature. Earlier this month, an Ohio man was lucky to have suffered only minor injuries after a truck accident on Ohio 39. The victim’s vehicle was trapped beneath the truck when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

The victim was driving a Monte Carlo headed north on Ohio39. The driver of the semi truck began to exit the highway and then made a last minute decision to return to 39. When the semi driver performed a u-turn back onto the roadway, the Monte Carlo became pinned underneath the 18-wheeler.

When Ohio police and emergency responders arrived on scene, the driver of the Monte Carlo was still bent over inside the car. The Monte Carlo had also been carrying a young boy, who was standing outside the car waiting for police. The victim was taken to Mansfield Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the semi truck was charged with making an illegal u-turn and causing the truck accident. A tow truck was required to free the victim’s vehicle from beneath the semi. As of yet, there has been no comment from the commercial company responsible for the semi truck.

In many cases, the victims in this kind of truck accident suffer serious injury. Often, Ohio personal injury attorneys can help victims obtain compensation to pay for medical bills, vehicle damage and other financial burdens caused by the accident.
