Ohio police say that marijuana may have led to fatal crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has revealed that the 16-year-old boy involved in a fatal collision in June 2014 may have been under the influence of drugs. THC, which is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, was reportedly discovered in the boy's system, and the toxicology report has been turned over to Licking County prosecutors along with the results of the accident investigation. The car accident, which claimed the lives of three teens, took place on Hardscrabble Road near Alexandria.

Loading area accident results in death of Ohio man

An accident that occurred in a loading area of a southwest Ohio food distribution and retail company has taken the life of a 65-year-old truck driver from Lima. When first responders were called to the scene around 1:15 a.m. on April 30, they found the man pinned between a wall and metal ramp. At the time of the report, the accident was being investigated by local and state officials, including the Hamilton County Coroner's office. Authorities also notified the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle left a 57-year-old Ohio man dead on April 20. According to the report, the crash took place at approximately 10:25 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 528 and State Route 86.

Man killed while working in construction zone, jury awards $39M

According to a report released on April 4, an Ohio jury awarded $39 million to a family of man who was killed while working in a construction zone in Richfield Township in 2010. The man was struck by a passing vehicle, but the driver was not charged with the accident. The man was reportedly wearing the required safety gear, but the family's lawyer stated that the area was extremely dangerous because the company the 41-year-old was working for did not properly protect its employees that night.
