Ohio man killed in 2-vehicle crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol did not immediately say what factors may have contributed to a late morning accident on March 26 in Clark County that claimed the life of a 64-year-old man. However, troopers said that their investigation into the collision would continue. The fatal crash occurred shortly before noon on U.S. Route 68 in Springfield.

Poor road conditions reported at time of head-on Ohio SUV crash

Preliminary reports from the Lake County Sheriff department about a Perry Township, Ohio, accident on North Ridge Road described road conditions as very poor. The bad roads, however, have yet to be singled out by investigators as contributing to the loss of control the 36-year-old male driver of an SUV experienced when he attempted to pass another car.

The term whiplash refers to a neck injury where the head moves in one direction and then another quickly and sometimes violently. This is similar to the motion of a whip. 2 injured in Ohio wrong-way crash with alleged drunk driver

On Dec. 28, a 37-year-old Bainbridge man, who was driving a Jeep Liberty while drunk, was traveling on U.S. 422 in Olon allegedly going east in the westbound lanes. At approximately 12:45 a.m., he hit a Saturn Vue head-on, according to police.

U.S. postal truck involved in head-on collision on bridge

Ohio authorities reported recently on an accident in Lorain involving a U.S. postal truck that sent two people to the hospital on Nov. 13. The collision took place on the Lofton Henderson Memorial Bridge when the 24-year-old man driving the postal truck lost control and struck a 1996 Buick Riviera head-on. There were no other people involved in the accident.

Pickup strikes, kills woman driver, injures firefighters in Ohio

Law enforcement authorities reported that a pickup truck allegedly caused a major accident that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old woman and injured several firefighters on the Ohio Turnpike on Nov. 5. According to police, the Canfield Fire Department was responding to an earlier accident and traffic was stopped. The 27-year-old woman was stopped behind the fire truck in her Nissan SUV.
